Plants and other items listed in Kev’s Orchids online shop at www.kevsorchids.co.uk are supplied in good faith with all care taken to ensure plants are healthy and goods are undamaged when they leave the premises. All prices and details are correct at the time of publishing but are subject to change at any time. All website content remains property of Kev’s Orchids; none may be reproduced for any reason without written permission.

Plants are not supplied in flower unless expressly stated in individual listings, as flowers tend not to travel well. A plant will be sent that is of flowering size (unless the listings clearly state otherwise) but will not typically be blooming, especially if purchased outside of its usual season.

Plants which are described as “near flowering size” (NFS) or “flowering size” (FS) should bloom with the next 12-24 months during its appropriate season. “Young plants” (YP) may take 2-3 years, assuming good culture upon receipt. Most plants sold here are divisions, not seedlings. An unhappy plant in the wrong conditions may never flower – this is not the responsibility of Kev’s Orchids.

Occasionally, plants will be available in bud or flower. It is not our preference to send plants in bud or flower but customers may like to purchase a plant in bloom blooming for gifts, or just for themselves. We will do our very best to pack plants in bud or bloom carefully, as we do all our plants, but open flowers, especially, are very delicate and we cannot take responsibility for any bruising or damage that may occur to them. Please remember it is the plant you are buying, not the flowers, and the plant will reach its full blooming potential in due course, with proper care.

Payments must be made by credit/debit card or paypal in advance of goods being sent. Please note that we are unable to send orders outside the UK.

We will send most orders by Royal Mail Next Day 24 delivery services but we reserve the right to choose a different carrier if considered more suitable for the destination. Your order will be delivered to the address you specify for delivery on checkout, so please make sure this information is accurate as we cannot take responsibility for delays to delivery as a result of incomplete information. If you know you aren’t going to be in to receive your parcel, please ensure that you have a proper safe place or friend/neighbour organised as we can’t be held responsible for damage to parcels after they have been delivered.

Orders will usually be despatched within 3 working days but please be aware that orders placed after Wednesday may not be sent till the following Monday to avoid live plants being in the post over weekends. Dispatch may also be delayed if weather conditions are not appropriate, especially during periods of low temperature or otherwise adverse weather during winter.  You will be notified if this is the case. Please let us know if you need urgent or specific delivery dates.

Should your order be running late, please inform us so we can keep track of it. In most cases, plants do not suffer from being an extra day or two in transit; nevertheless we want your plants to arrive in a timely fashion.  Should the delays to your order prove to have been avoidable by any action of Kev’s Orchids, a refund of the delivery charge may be possible.

If any damage has occurred in transit, please notify us within 24 hours of receipt, including photos of the damage. Any damage or problems caused after delivery is the responsibility of the customer.

If you need to cancel your order please contact us as soon as possible after placing it. Once orders have been dispatched, they cannot be cancelled.

If you need to return your order, please contact us first to discuss and arrange collection if necessary. If you have any problem with the items you receive, contact us immediately. If your plant dies with in two weeks through no fault of the customer, the plant may be returned or refunded. Kev’s Orchids reserves the right to assess and decide whether or not the problem with a plant is the fault of Kev’s Orchids or the customer.

Privacy policy. We will never pass on any of your details to any third party and will only use them to contact you regarding your order or any query you may have.
